As of today, the Eagle’s Wings Foundation directs its support for local communities and charity work in Cabo San Lucas, Puerto Vallarta, Riviera Nayarit, Cancun and Loreto, which is where the Villa del Palmar brand of timeshare resorts can be found. Within these communities, the Eagle’s Wings Foundation directs the funds it raises through a variety of means to local charities and other foundations that help the most needy in each area.
The kinds of programs and charity work the Eagle’s Wings Foundation supports are those such as school aid programs, day care centers, orphanages and other programs that directly support the poorest local communities. Likewise, the Eagle’s Wings Foundation has a bazaar where it sells items donated by the Villa del Palmar resorts, such as mattresses, pillows, toasters etc, which raise money for the charity as well as provides affordable items for those on low incomes in the community.
In 1998, when the Eagle’s Wings Foundation was first launched, it was one of the very first non-profit foundations of its kind in the timeshare and vacation club industry, paving the way for other charity work supported by timeshare developers and their members. The Eagle’s Wings Foundation receives support from three principal patrons: The Villa Group Resorts, Universal Vacation Club International (which serves The Villa Group’s timeshare members) and ResortCom International, in addition to donations from individual Universal Vacation Club members.
Universal Vacation Club International (UVCI) and Villa Group timeshare members are regularly invited to donate money, in-kind gifts as well as to volunteer time and charity work as a means of raising awareness for the poorer communities in Mexico through the Eagle’s Wings Foundation.
